My friends always told me my meals were crap if I didn't have some wine while cooking.
Isn't that where the phrase "Cooking with wine" came from? Yeah it tates good in food, too.

I always wondered if my friends thought my food tasted better because they were drinking too, lol.

Yeah thinking back on the last time I broke down a rack, 1-2 of the ribs were much shorter that the others so it really was more like 6-7.

I love to drink when I cook, BTW, hence the memory lapse, that and just age I reckon 😉 But I'm sure I had several glasses of wine in me!

I used to break my lamb down.at home after home kill.on a farm. I had old pillow slips i used to wrap and hang in.my garage for 2 to 3 days then chop it up. Normally 7 rib behind front leg that was your fore quarter for obvious reasons. Then loin.chops down the middle
6 to 8 chops. Then full back legs. Kidneys for steak.pies.
