Saturday November 30, what airport did you eat at?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.

Many years ago I flew to Costa Rica on Christmas day. I've flown to New York City on New Years Eve. Three years ago I flew to Paris on Thanksgiving. I've never run into these kind of problems.

They mostly seem to be happening since post pandemic travel picked up.

I think maybe you're right Sage, it seems that the travel population has grown and the slightest hiccup suddenly becomes a full blown collapse!

That is a great looking chips and queso! I'll be eating DFW airport food tomorrow and Thursday as my middle sister and I visit our oldest sister in Williamsburg VA.

My favorite place at DFW is Pappdeaux Louisiana Seafood. I think they are located in two terminals At DFW. It's an easy airport to get around. Just use the Skylink system. It is all inside the TSA area, so you should never need to leave the secure areas to go from terminal to terminal.

Because of dismal meals and service during this same trip last December, not through DFW, I researched restaurants at DFW! Yes, Pappadeaux Louisiana Seafood looks great! Thanks.

We went for Chinese food at our favourite restaurant. This town is not lacking for good eating places!
“Chinese Food” is a fairly broad descriptor. Any chance you could elaborate? Northern Szechuan? Southern? Thai? Laotian? Cantonese? Cambodian?
Sorry if I sound like I’m not appreciative of your enjoyment of your meal, but the vast array of dishes that originate from Asian culture is one of the biggest interests in my life right now and I’m always amazed at how many things I can learn from people everywhere.

You and your sister may want to share food. The meal portions are huge. Here is the catfish and chips. Three BIG catfish filets on a pile of fries. I can't finish it. Maybe share and appy and a meal.

They have locations in Terminal A and Terminal C at DFW.

The catfish meal looks nice, but it needs some green and sauce?
There's some little cups of tartar sauce there for dipping. I can't imagine pouring some kind of gravy-type sauce on fried catfish. You'd have a soggy mess.

@caseydog that looks sooo good. I really like catfish but unfortunately for some reason grocers here mostly sell them already seasoned. I like to season my own.

Being a Southern staple, catfish is readily available in every grocery store here. The big farms are in Mississippi and Alabama. Farmed catfish is better than wild caught, because they are bottom feeders.

Yeah, learned that many years ago. First time I went sort of green when someone offered me catfish... all I could think of was swamp mud LOL!

You can taste the muddiness in wild caught catfish, especially large ones. It builds up in the meat. It won't hurt you as long as you properly cook it. It just doesn't taste good (at least to me).

Saw a good video of a farm that caught "wild" catfish. They had huge tanks to purge them. Graduated from tank to tank for a thorough purging. '
