Hello friends,

Not as hot as it's been, so my windows are open and I can feel a light breeze . . . what a nice change from the A/C going all the time.

Dinner tonight will be grilled chicken on the bone (legs & thighs) marinated in EVOO, garlic, soy, lemon juice, and herbs. On the side will have some rice pilaf, and sliced tomatoes and cukes from the garden.

Wishing everyone a happy day:chef:

Don't know what we're having but I'm not cooking. It's our 28th anniversary so will probably go out somewhere.

Happy Aniversary jabbur! SO's birthday today and having a cookout. We are going to be having grilled t-bones and rib-eye steaks, grilled corn, garden-fresh tomato wedges, sauteed onions and mushrooms.

Lemon cake and ice cream for dessert.

Happy birthday to your SO, Dave!
I hope all of you have a marvelous day today celebrating.

We are having breakie for dinner - waffles and ham, with a side of fresh pineapple (need to get Fruits and veggies into Dad).

My Indian neighbor is coming over to help me make a tandoori chicken as good as hers. I have some naan and fresh veggies to go with it.

Thanks Dave! Today is also my FIL's birthday and my friend Theresa's birthday. Sounds like a lot of nice things occur on August 7th!

Chicken was on sale so I got a large package of cutlets. I used 1/2 for dinner last night and tonights dinner is basically the same thing as last night only prepared different.

Chicken Parmesan, fried red tomato slice, steamed baby spinach and tomato salad.

august the sixth was a special day for us. my fourth great granddaughter was born. can't spell her name, but they will call her teddy. she was about three weeks early but all is well.

for dinner today, i made a spinach, peas, and red onion salad with hot bacon and vinegar dressing. main course was brie and ricotta with roasted garlic borsetti. i cooked in boiling water, drained and put into skillet with melted butter. stirred them around and add a bit of garlic pwd. and black pepper. i just discovered these things and i am hooked. dessert is thawed mixed berries and softened mascarpone cheese. all was very very good.

Babetoo- congrats on the new addition!!!!

I have been busy trying out recipes. Only one is trashed. Angle Buns, they turned out like hockey pucks. I never got around to making dinner. The English Muffin Bread is good!! I think I will make a Grilled Cheese Sandwich with that. I did make a Peach Pound Cake that is good.
