Had an appointment with my orthopedic doctor today for information on my corkscrew-shaped right index finger. Good old "arthur-itis" has seen fit to reconfigure it.

I'll be having surgery near the end of October to have a pin inserted at the tip of the finger into the first joint to fuse it, followed by a new knuckle inserted into the joint below the first joint.

Surgery in the morning. Home by late afternoon.

I'm more than ready. The constant pain is getting beyond tolerable, and I have a high tolerance for pain, but enough is enough!

Yeah! Great that you are taking care of it! A new knuckle? That’s super interesting ….

I’m similar… but with my right hip. I also have a high tolerance for pain but this is untenable…. January for me

Sending positive vibes to both of you. That sounds beneficial. Pain, especially constant pain, drains energy and at our age, we don't need that.
