That's a shame. I thought there was a reason all the good radio stations were playing a lot of older Pink Floyd.

rest his soul; what a loss.
my Dad raised us on Floyd (i'm 25). i can say some of my better days were spent listening to them at my Parent's mid-20's gatherings laden with drunken guests, or watching videos with my Dad as we shared alcoholic beverages (that alcohol when i was old 'nuff to drink; until then, it was non-alcoholic) , or watching 'the wall' with my pals as a teenager while under the influence of substances i shant name.:whistling
just called up my brother; he'd brought me into my city earlier & we were listening to 'shine on you....' on our way. right when he & his fiancee left, they heard of his passing. i'm listening to it now. beautiful song; excellent band.
people may pass on; beautiful music continues on as a vocal memior.
may he sleep peacefully.

I am also a Pink Floyd fan. Matter of fact I named the cat I got for my 7th birthday Floyd. Must go listen to Learning To Fly and Wish You Were Here now.

'Tis very sad news indeed, but at least he's finally at peace.

You were a genius Syd! I shall hoist one in your name.
