Hey everyone! I'm a 47 year old grandma, mom and wife who loves to cook and feed family and friends. Already have a question: How long can you keep a smoked ham that has never been opened? My boss was given one at Christmas and thinks it's still good, trying to give it away. I want to be sure nobody get's ill.

Thanks,

If it's frozen and has never been defrosted it can stay good/safe indefinetly, but the quality of it of it will probably be comprimised after a few months. If not frozen, it's probably not a good idea to eat that now. Unless there is a use by date on the wrapper. But I think 8 months is too long.
