Speaking of Play-Offs, the Super Bowl 2025 is February 9th.

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.

Does anyone have plans for the Super Bowl (or anti-Super Bowl?) We have friends joining us, and I believe we are planning to make charcuterie boards. Since that is plural, I am thinking of making a charDUDErie board as well. (CharDUDErie boards are supposedly something you would see served in man caves or at a poker game, etc.) I think both ideas would be fun.

Are you planning to watch the game? If so, what might you make?

As a BEARS fan, I would have lost interest in what....2007? No, wait. I was hopeful when they drafted Justin Fields....then they put nothing between him and the other side. I was sad to lose him.

We have him now. I wish they would have pulled Russell Wilson yesterday for Fields. Wilson wasn't getting anything done.

Dude-cuterie?
So, smoker cold cuts?

That works! Also, I am thinking: Mini pigs in a blanket, tiny baked potatoes, BBQ sliders or cheeseburger sliders, Beer cheese with soft pretzels, Jalapeño poppers, boneless hot wings and the like. There might be something like salsa....or finger fruits. Plus...drinks.
Do people really make Anti Super Bowl parties?
Oh, once upon a time, Sara. I'd create a theme night. The menu would depend on the theme. Sometimes a movie might be involved...or a themed game....and costumes were expected.

@caseydog I really think the kid has talent and was furious when Chicago let him go. He needs coaching and a solid front line. I want to see him do well.

Nothing can beat my Super Bowl XLIII experience for me, personally. I flew to Pittsburgh, got a room downtown, and went to a SB Party at a sports bar across the street from my hotel. $75 for a reserved barstool, and all-you-can-eat and drink. :D Bonus, the Steelers won their sixth Super Bowl.

The guy next to me had the coolest t-shirt. 2008 was the year Obama ran for president, and for those not from the US, "Yes We Can" was his slogan/graphics. This t-shirt put Coach Tomlin in Obama's place. It is the only one I've ever seen.

COSTUMES?!!!!!!!

I hope I have some wings in the freezer, because the stores are probably sold out of them. That's the most "special" thing I (may) do tomorrow.

My plans all went south. We are going to a friend's house for the SB. I'm taking some salsa and chips and fruit with a chocolate dipping sauce. Oh....and a Caesar salad.

I think it was a GREAT GAME! I thoroughly enjoyed watching that little twerp continously getting his butt kicked for a change. Hey Mahomes,

Over the course of the entire game I ended up eating half a bag of Ruffles with French onion dip, two slices of pizza, and six boneless chicken "wings" ( they are really sliced breast) with Anchor Bar Buffalo wing sauce (I have Terresa Bellisimo's original recipe).

Some of the commercials were great. My favorites were the Clydesdale colt rolling the barrel into the bar, the wild old women road trip for weathertech, and the Chris Helmsworth teaching the soccer players to up their celebration dance game. Oh...the little girl growing her potato had the AWWW factor.

We had wings; cheese fondue with pierogies, meatballs, bread, veggies, apple slices, pretzel knots, as dippers; pizza; Caesar salad; chips and homemade salsa; Dirt cups with Gummi worms; and did not get to the chocolate fondue with fruit.

We also played a learning round to a game that we have been trying to play for ages prior to the game.
