I found this product, Spectrum Naturals, Organic, Balsamic Syrup in a little Mom & Pop store in Petoskey Michigan. I purchased it, being curious about all things. After all, it's made in Modena. I tried it and found it to be an excellent product, a thick syrup that is great is great on salads, with a good Italian cheese, with pork, and even on vanilla ice cream. It's sweet without being cloying, and has a complex flavor profile. I bit of research revealed that it's made from the grape must.
I've had this bottle in my fridge for multiple years, and it's still as good as the day I bought it. Sadly, I'm nearly out of it. I've looked on the internet for over forty-five minutes and can't seem to find it. I can find the same brand of balsamic vinegar, but not the syrup.
I'm doing two things with this post. First, I'm sharing a very tasty product with all of you. And twp, If anyone finds a source for this product, please share.
