I'd agree. Thanks to Weber, consumers (in my opinion) equate black porcelain with a high quality product. I personally would not pay any extra for a stainless model, since (again, in my own experience) a porcelain Weber kettle has lasted more than 30 years and is still going strong.

Stainless has a 30% higher heat transfer coefficient than carbon steel also.

And this unit is going to be available when and where will it be retailed at? It's hard to judge quality from pictures.

I also don't want to clean off stainless steel either. The black one hides all my smudge marks quite nicely.
