So I have a big poofy foot stool (example pic below) that I've had for several years and keep it under my computer desk, which I put my feet up on every night when I'm at my computer doing my usual nightly thing of watching videos and shows and that sort of thing. The original stuffing was those tiny little styrofoam balls. But, over time, they get squishy and break down and my foot stool becomes this sunken thing that I have to refill. I bought a big huge bag of yet more of the little styrofoam balls that I've used, over time, to keep refilling my foot stool. Well, that bag is now gone and I'm looking for another material that will hold up better and not break down so easily over time.
What would you buy to stuff the stool with? I have no clue what to even look for. I'm sure craft stores have plenty of options for stuffing furniture. Maybe a pillow stuffing? I'm basically looking for something that's 'sturdier' than the styrofoam balls and can hold up better and last longer. I'm tired of dumping those little beads into my foot stool, only to have them break down a couple of months later, then I have to refill it again. That and those little styrofoam beads get everywhere and they're a pain in the patootie to clean up.
