We went to a calzone, stromboli, pizza class with friends and their daughter. The food was fabulous and fun to make. Here is a photo of the stromboli that the daughter and I rolled up! There was no sauce within. But we made a delicious sauce to dip it in!

I heated some of the white bean and Italian sausage soup. I cracked an egg into it while it was heating. I have poached eggs that way before, but I have always put a layer of shredded cheese, usually Parmigiano Regiano, on the soup first. It matters. The egg sunk and I had a hard time telling when it was done. Oh well, live and learn. it was still fine. I had some toasted rugbrød (Danish style, heavy rye bread) with that.

Steamed mussels #2 with Pernod and Cream, with rice and extra sauce. Fantastic! Thinking of you my friend! One of your favourite meals. Miss you RIP.

Still have another serving of mussels - tomorrow date is the last, tough job but I can do it! Have a Spicy Asian Steamed Mussels in mind.
