Looks good.
What’s the potato dumpling like?
Is it like a giant gnocchi?

Thanks.
It's exactly like a giant gnocchi. With the addition of a little nutmeg. One of the recipes I saw the cook even said he uses the same recipe for both.
So I guess now I know how to make gnocchi, lol.

Blimey, that would be quite filling.
Would you make them again?

I'd make them again. Just cut down the size.

The recipe called for tennis ball size, but mine might have been a touch larger. And they swelled a little when cooked.

It's not something I am accustomed to; eating a large ball of spongey potatoes. There was enough sauce to go around, but smaller might have been better. Something I could take my fork and cut in half to eat. And I probably did not need two on my plate ;)

We'll see how round 2 goes. I'll serve the leftovers in a bowl.

But now I know. It was my first time making them and it was really quite easy.

I think I’d prefer a lighter British dumpling with a fair bit of air in it to a potato version but I’d defo like to give those a whirl.
Maybe with some herbs or the like in there 🤷‍♀️
