chicken..
1/2 kilo chicken breast.. bite size
1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon soda powder [forgot the english name of this]
1/4 teasppon table salt
1 teaspoon oil
pasta..
one chopped onion
one small basket of button mushrooms sliced
3 garlic cloves, crushed
2 teaspoons turmeric
1.5 teaspoons grounded fennel seeds or some spice mix that has a lot of grounded fennel seeds
1/3 teaspoon grounded cumin
1/2 tablespoon sugar or a sweetener like sucarlose..
a bit less than 1/2 tablespoon table salt
1/4 grounded black pepper
1/4 cup olive oil.. [half of that added after the pasta is ready and cooled a bit. but in the original recipe she adds it all at once.. at the beginning of cooking..]
2 cups boiling water
500 grams small piecces of dried pasta like small shells
*heat oil over medium-high heat, and add onions and mushrooms along with some tiny bit of salt.. cook for 10 minutes stirring from time to time..
*in a bowl mix the chicken ingredients
*add chicken to the pot mixture and stir fry until the chicken is ready..
*add garlic and cook for a few moments. add the spices, sugar and salt and cook for additional few moments..
*add dried pasta and boiling water and mix well.. bring to boil.. reduce the heat to medium-low and cook 10 minutes.. with the lid closed..
*don't open the lid.. turn off the heat and let the liquid be absorbed for 10 more minutes..
