I've never had the Bear's Head, Enoki, Comb Tooth. Can't comment on their tastes.
All the others I've either purchased or grown myself from kits and are quite tasty. I rather think you will like them.
Those prices are quite reasonable too. I've seen them at higher prices at the grocer's here. I don't buy them from this grocer because of the higher price... ok, ok, sometimes I do as they are usually the only ones to carry a variety.
Treat yourself and get a kit. Yes, a bit more expensive than buying a 228 container but it is fun. At first you think somethings gone wrong and you've got a dud - then BOOM! the next day there they are!

Yeah, the prices are actually reasonable.

I have thought about trying one of the kits. How much "work" is there with them? I wasn't actually trying to find new ways to spend my time and money.

Depending on your weather, you spritz them with water several times a day. That's it. Put the block on a cookie sheet or board, cut an X in the plastic and start spritzing.

My mother was an excellent forager. She could find morels every spring. I cannot seem to find them to save my life.
