how/why does this happen ? when i reply to a thread i try to stay on the subject at hand
but many threads go so far off topic i have to go back to the 1st post just to find out what it started out as , including my own threads , for example : the thread i started about "biscuits " can anyone tell me how we went from biscuits to BBQ sauce to peas to cucumbers ?

I suppose if I was sitting in a bar and we were talking about biscuits and I started talking about cucumbers, you'd tell me to go away and sit somewhere else because I wasn't talking about biscuits anymore? I thought we had pretty much worn out the biscuits convo anyway. You can always start talking about biscuits again in that thread and see if anyone else has anything to add. I think they were talking about BBQ sauce there too...

Threads take on a life of their own. If it bothers you, don't start any threads, because chances are, any thread you start will drift. Or do what most of us do, and just accept it.

On the biscuit thread, at least scones are pretty much the same as biscuits. Keep in mind, for UK and Australian members, biscuits are what we call cookies. The tread could have easily morphed into a cookie thread. :ROFLMAO:

ok so why do we even have the different category's
i know sometime things tend to stray a bit, but on most forums the mods will gently steer them back to the original post

i was surprised the thread even lasted a full page ,
i just wasn't expecting it to go off into so many different directions

Maybe we could all try to keep the thread on the topic at hand. (all-me too)
Don't be afraid (you big ninnies) to start a new thread OR if you have an idea about something, do a search for that something to see if there is a thread about it.

If something goes off topic there is always an option to mention it to a moderator or Report it. After they get corrected enough times they'll stop changing the subject.

Our mods love redirection. :winkiss: I'm going to go pop some popcorn. :giggle:
