I have the original Emeril Lagasbag air fryer oven that I bought at an auction house 5 years ago for about 150 bucks, new. I also bought a second one from the same auction house 6 months later for 45 bucks and it's still sitting in the box waiting for the first one to quit on me. It has a rotisserie but I found it's cheaper to buy a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store than to buy a raw chicken and rotisserie it your own damn self (can rotisserie be a noun and a verb?). But the rotisserie works great on a pork tenderloin, and the supermarkets don't sell those!
One I was looking at earlier today had a rotisserie. And I was like "Huh? A rotisserie in a toaster oven?"

I had a rotisserie that I never used. Not once. I definitely don't want one included with a toaster/convection oven.

Speaking of convection ovens, I've never used one in my life. And how can a toaster oven also be a convection oven?

I'm gonna have to do some reading...

There is a fan. With the air moving around, food cooks more evenly. You are much less likely to get places that cook a lot faster or slower than other places, so you don't have to turn the trays as often to get the food at the front of the oven to finish cooking before the food at the back burns.

Oh nice! I might have to look into those. As long as they aren't too much money. I'm only looking to spend maybe $100, $130 at the most, and those convection ovens have to be pretty pricey.

I would just love to have a good size toaster oven, at least, especially with summer coming. It will save me from having to heat up the entire kitchen area with the oven.

I haven't done much research into them yet, but I agree with what dragn said earlier, I'm super attracted to the French door ovens.

I found a couple I was looking at. One was the French door style, but decided against that because too many reviewers said the doors get very, very hot (which is to be expected) and swing back on you, burning your arms when you're reaching in to retrieve your food. That may or may not be the case with all French door ovens, but this particular one was the only one within my price range. Most people did like it, though. But a good percentage of them complained about getting burned from the hot doors. If there were only one or two reviews like that, I may just ignore it, considering it user error. But there were too many of them. Then I went to another site to look at reviews on the exact same oven and found more of this...

"The double doors do not stay open-very hard to put anything in or get anything out without getting burned by the door closing."

So I'm back to looking at ovens with standard doors. And this is getting a little tiresome. There are too many of them and I get confused about all the features. I just want something simple.

Not saying there aren't issues but I wonder how many people level their small appliances. Unless the doors have something close them, leveling back to front a half bubble high might fix the issue.

Good point. And I also wonder if the doors have a 'catch' that holds them open until you close them yourself and the users weren't aware of it. You would think that when developing a product like this that the manufacturer would implement some type of safety measure to prevent that from happening. Of course the doors are going to be hot, so you can't just have them swinging open and closed freely.

That would be something I would have to check out 'in person' and not online. I found the one I'm looking at on the Lowe's website. If they have them in-store, I may go look at one myself.
