I've never done that before, I haven't got a clue how to do it, but wouldn't that mean sharing with the whole world? I only want to show it privately on this forum, being a reserved person I've never been one for social media 😅.
Oh look what was sitting here for hours, waiting for me to hit "Post reply".

Well, yes it would be sharing it with the whole world, but this forum isn't private or restricted to people you know and like. It's pretty much the same sharing it with the whole world. But, people have to find it to watch, same as YouTube. I have posted a few videos on YouTube. One of a Yule tree with twinkling lights, one of bumble bees visiting my cone flowers. One of snow falling. I think that's all. If you have the video file, it's easy to post to YouTube, once you have an account. If you have a Gmail address, you have automatically have a YouTube account. I don't remember exactly how it worked to post the videos, but I uploaded and could choose a title and some music,.

Thank you for your suggestion @taxlady. I would have to ask my son about uploading to youtube, but I'm not really convinced about this. 🙄😆

What format is your video file in? Not that I would know much from that but, I'm sure someone here will know something useful from that info.
My hi-tech knowledge is so limited @taxlady that I'm not sure what you mean about what format? 😆
I took it with my mobile camera. The information on it just says: VID followed by a long sequence of numbers - mp4 - and then 1920x1080 - 50,50mb 🤔.

So I imagine the file name ends with .mp4. The format would be mp4. Now, someone just has to look through the help files here and see what file formats can be uploaded here, though they may not allow uploading of video files.

Meryl, you have my sympathy. I too have taken video's with my phone and yes, they too are mp4, which are not supported here. The media supported here is
  • Apple Music
  • Dailymotion
  • Facebook
  • Flickr
  • Giphy
  • Imgur
  • Pinterest
  • Reddit
  • SoundCloud
  • Spotify
  • TikTok
  • Tumblr
  • Twitch
  • X
  • Vimeo
  • YouTube
and I have absolutely no idea how to upload to any of them to change it from an mp4. Occasionally I go to facebook and yeah, watch some YouTube, but that's it!

Most of the social media sites allow mp4.
MP4 is a good all-rounder for social media because it works across most platforms. MP4 files are also typically more compressed and smaller in size than MOV files.
Youtube, or Facebook will allow them.

Thanks everyone, I realise the easiest way is probably to upload on YouTube. I would have to get my son to help out if I were to decide on that option, but I still have my doubts unfortunately. 😔

Vimeo was mentioned in that list that @dragnlaw posted. Vimeo is similar to YouTube, but not as ubiquitous. It may have some privacy controls that are lacking on YouTube. Or maybe YouTube has them, but they are paid feature.

Much to my chagrin, that list, which I just copied from the drop down help button, were links when I posted it. Went back and unlinked them all from my post - didn't want to be banned as a spammer!

Today I harvested the last of the peppers, most of the rest of the tomatoes and the dill. Noe sure what Im doing with the pepper yet. What doesnt ripen of the tomatoes will be made into pickled green tomatoes, and the dill chopped up and froze. Looks like enough dill to carry me over until next year.

I harvested the spinach, leafy green lettuce, and a darker more compact lettuce, for salads. What is amazing is that it is almost november! I can probably get another 8 salads out of what is there, if it doesn't grow at all. We keep it covered at night even with the cold nights it's still growing but slower.

All the peppers were out of the garden ripening on the table, I chopped those today, for freezing. Whatever we don't have frozen or canned we'll have to buy.
4 lowly tomatoes ripening on the table, then there will be none.
Asparagus seed on the table drying.
Onion seeds are dry, Mr bliss is breaking open the seeds to plant in flats in the spring. Onion seed are so particular, they are only viable (the viability charts) for 1 year. While many of the other vegetable seeds have much longer viability, especially tomatoes and peppers.

I would have left the tomatoes out there, with the heat coming, but when I looked today, some had totally died off (maybe less cold resistant than the others), and there were hardly any ripe tomatoes on the larger ones, only the smaller varieties, mostly the Bronze Torch Hybrids. I cut all the plants out, after harvesting the tomatoes - tomorrow I'll pickle those green ones, or what didn't turn overnight.
Picked all of the tomatoes today - this was about 3 quarts of everything with just a blush, mostly the Bronze Torch hybrid. 10-29 by pepperhead212, on Flickr

And here is the last of the green tomatoes, a heaping 4 qt bowl. Most of these will become pickles. 10-29 by pepperhead212, on Flickr

My Makrut lime trees weren't bothered by the cold so far, and both of them have areas of new growth, after the severe trimming they got. I've been letting them dry out, to bring indoors, but they are still very heavy, while the curry tree and bay laurel I can carry in myself, they have lightened so much.
One of the severely trimmed Makrut Lime trees, with new growth. Both have a new growth like this, but need to get inside soon, still. 10-29 by pepperhead212, on Flickr
