Hi
I've just found this recipe which I thought was very tasty. It was very popular in the 17th/18th Centuries in England (Apparently).
Ingredients:
150ml (quarter pint) white wine
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 level teaspoons of finelt grated lemon rind
75g (3oz) Caster Sugar
300ml (half pint) fresh double cream (think its called Heavy Cream in USA)
Method:
Put the wine, lemon juice, rind and sugar into a bowl and leave for at least 3 hours. Next add the cream and whip (until the mixture can stand in soft peaks). Transfer to 6 sundae glasses and leave in a cool place for several hours before serving.
I hope you enjoy it,
Iain
