Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 Early Bird Dinner Special

So I pretended I was vacationing and had the Early Bird Dinner Special. Had a Bavarian Sausage, mushroom, onion, rice and gravy - all done up together. Was very tasty.

I didn't take a pic, was too hungry as I had an early breakfast and no lunch,

Just a couple of Nathan's hot dogs tonight, with spicy mustard and shaved sweet onions. I just wasn't motivated to do any serious cooking today.

I wasn't motivated today either. I defrosted some cold smoked salmon and had that on a bagel and a half with onion, capers, and butter. My danged cream cheese had started growing something reddish, so that got chucked in the garbage and I didn't have a spare. Oh well, it was good with butter.

Jade, I was originally headed towards some mash from some leftovers, but like taxy - although I could have probably eaten it, was borderline, and I couldn't really tell if it was off or not - so I chucked it out. Had plenty of rice.

1/2 a meal sized salad, some natto veggie brown basmati rice and turnip greens.

Dragn, I think I was channeling you with the Early Bird Dinner Special! I even used the diner plate from my grandparent's diner!!! Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, and peas. Pickle beets too.

SO is off to FL for about a week so I had a pulled pork sandwich and a pickle with a beer to wash it down.

It is an extremely rare occasion that I am able to get lamb chops. And that is what we had last night. Oh, my gosh. I love lamb an especially the lamb chops on the grill, 2 minutes on each side. Tasted heavenly. Mmmmmm

I really need to get me a little grill for outside. Son's blackstone is just too big for me to even contemplate a small section of it. I so want to do my little pieces of chicken or a burger, lamb chops would be heaven on a grill outside.

Something tells me that a dragon would have no problem getting the coals started!

Hate to burst your bubble but I was actually thinking of a gas grill, mainly as I don't plan far enough ahead to let coals get to the proper stage before I'm so hungry I devour everything in sight.

@dragnlaw I never have leftover mashed potato. I always make enough for dinner and that’s it.
