Tovala meals of French onion meatloaf, mash and Brussel sprouts with sour cream and chives. I liked it, but Craig didn't really like the flavor of the meatloaf.

As hoped, that "two servings" of chicken Stroganoff that I made yesterday will stretch to three meals for me. I had one of those tonight. This time I pan roasted some asparagus to go with it and also made a salad of green crisp lettuce, mizuna, shaved red onion, some of the leftover beets, and the short bits of asparagus that I cut off, so they would fit in the pan better. I dressed it with some of my batch vinaigrette. I'm stuffed.

I had the tacos and tried refried beans from two cans of pinto beans I bought and a recipe I'd had for a while and thought I'd try. The recipe looked good, the beans looked and smelled good, but...they weren't good. I finally had to resort to a hand mixer to mush them and then all I seemed to taste was bean skins. I ate what was there, and fortunately, two small cans don't make many beans. Out they go because I know I wont eat the rest of them. Tacos were OK - I just use the taco mix in hamburger but I would far prefer Taco Bell. Guess I need to figure out where I can get Grade D meat. LOL The other thing that irritated me is the tacos were so chewy they were like gum. I just opened the box, so maybe there was a hole in the plastic they were in. I'll have to remember to warm them up the next time I eat them.

Note to self: clean up before taking any pics next time.
