I really didn't like Flay until I interviewed him. You can listen to the interview at my website (www.bbqboard.com), or there's a transcript buried in the archives from last summer. I had planned to trap him with some questions like "What's the difference between barbecue and grilling, but he had all the right responses. I think he and Emeril have to dumb down their product some to make it mass marketable. I also think a dinner at one of their houses would be one of the best meals you ever ate, but at their restaurants, it'd be something prepared for the general public.

It's all about the $$$, imho.

I have talked to Rick several times at his restaraunt. He truly loves the cuisine he represents. Great guy! Woody

Jane, the look on his face as he ate the iguana in Oaxaca on "A Cooks Tour" was priceless as he uttered at the camera "the worst thing I have ever eaten in my life." Wood

He was riding in a cab, and the cab driver told him, "you want iguana? My seester make you iguana" What could the poor guy do!!!
