I tried a new to me recipe for Greek meatballs and potatoes. It was pretty good, but not as good as the local Greek restos. Well, the potatoes were as good as at one of them. I will be tweaking both recipes. I think the author doesn't usually measure when she cooks, just eyeballs it and then writes down what she thinks the quantities were. I think the ingredients are probably what I'm looking for, but the quantities need adjusting. I had planned on veggies, but by the time the meatballs and potatoes were in the oven, I was too tired to deal with veg.

I had been looking for a recipe to make Greek roast potatoes like the ones we get in Montreal area Greek restos. I only found recipes that bragged about how crispy the potatoes were. These potatoes are not crispy. They are soft and full of infused flavours. The recipe I recently found is for the kind I have been looking for a recipe for for a couple of years. w00t!

Meatballs for us, too, but in tomato sauce, with pasta.
How different are Greek meatballs?
I just added an egg, breadcrumbs, parmesan, chopped parsley and garlic, salt and pepper, to the beef mince.
This is our traditional way of making meatballs, but there are also lots of varieties.

Taxy, I found a recipe that turned out really nice. You have to watch the end of the cooking time carefully to get that crispy outside while maintaining the fluffy inside. You can find it on CMT here....if you cannot see the recipe, it will point to where I found it.

Yesterday, we had Indiana Tenderloin sandwiches with tater tots.

Wow, nice everyone!

Hot dogs for us. Pretzel rolls for DH, carb free wraps for me. Slaw for everyone.
DH also had beans. I ate a bunch of pickles. Then the jar somehow jumped onto the tile floor ... long story short, we have a clean floor now. Well, part of it anyway.

Nope, can't see it. CMT is a little odd about sharing recipes. You have to use their share menu and copy the URL from there. If you just copy the URL from the address bar, it won't work. Once you find the share menu, you choose copy link to clipboard.

Better post that recipe! One of my favourites when I used to go out. Would love to try it.
Edited to include the link.

Here's the recipe. I will be doubling or tripling the garlic and upping other quantities of seasonings too.

I shared about this meal on Facebook. One friend replied, "As a dear friend told me when I was confirming a recipe... the Greeks are not a people who are afraid of flavour.
Be unhinged with the garlic."

I cannot blame them but it is my only hit on copy me that. The original recipe owner will not allow it to be shared. So I copied the text and will send it to you in PMs and include the original URL.

Most CMT recipes, when shared with others, do not allow their methods to show, it is just the ingredients. In order to see the method one clic on their website, which is shown at the top of the CMT recipe.
It is actually probably because it is Copyright in effect.
