With the heatwave we have recently, I noticed some of my trees are blooming for the first time. It’s exciting to me, no blooms, no fruit.
So I’m listing here what I observe this week from my garden.
Please post yours and it doesn’t have to be fruit trees either.

Starting off with my roses recently

Nothing here for a looong while. Nearly everything is covered in either ice or snow. Won't even consider planting outside until April.

BTW, your roses are lovely.
Thank You, I have about 160 roses in my small yard, this year I’ve decided I have to take some out. They are nice in the Spring but comes July and August they look terrible.

A while back I tossed a past it's prime grape tomato into a half barrel of dirt on my balcony. The next thing I knew I had a sprout sticking out of the dirt in the barrel. While I wasn't looking the damn thing went nuts and has grown over 6 feet tall. I had to buy a cage for it to climb on. I now have clusters of little green tomatoes all over the plant, with some of them turning red every day. Looks like I'll be having salads for lunch real soon!

I have a very small lot, less than 1/8 of an acre, so I do a lot of espaliering to save space.

Today I was excited to find my Bearss lime(Tahitian lime) with flowers and tiny fruit. I just acquired this last year.

My Murcott, 5-6 years with no fruit in my backyard, i brought it to the front, but it’s still in the shade.

Blueberries are blooming, 36 containers of blueberries in my front yard. The hummingbirds love my blueberries.

The wind chill was negative twenty yesterday. Everything is covered with a half a foot of ice. Nothing is blooming.
Yeah, anything blooming anywhere near me is indoors. There are probably things blooming in the rooftop greenhouses that my produce basket place has. It's how we get fresh local fruit and veg in winter.
