I'm going to try to get my taxes done before the end of Feb. this year...

I'm doing this today.

Just enjoying a beer and waiting for the greens to go in.
Super Bowl Sunday here and all :)

Trying to convince myself to get dressed and check out the cats in the garage. They have names-
Alpha, she talkative, sweet and friendly, loves to cuddle.
Romeo, very quiet, a bit stand-offish, but pick up a brush and he's there!

You would think I could remember Alpha Romeo but somehow I keep saying Aston Martin. ?? haven't figured that one out yet.

Because they are in the garage, so your brain keeps thinking "car"?

I took my broken pellet smoker to Cabella's today, and got my new one. I upgraded to the "Pro" level of the same smoker. With that upgrade, and another Gear Guard three year insurance plan, I spent $275, but I have a better smoker, and it has four wheels. It will be much easier to move in and out of my garage.

Tomorrow morning I'll be making a semi-frivolous run into the city because my grocery store does not have marjoram. So I'll buy everything there.

I went to the store earlier today and picked up what I thought was the item most likely not to be there, potato starch. Blew my mind they had it, so I started putting more items in my cart only to discover they no longer carry marjoram.

It's not like they don't carry many spices. They've got a good 10-12' long section in the spice aisle, a separate cardboard display in that aisle, and I found out another section of spices a few aisles over. They must have spices from five different makers. But sadly, many of them duplicates and no marjoram.

So it's off to Giant Eagle for my groceries tomorrow, early in the AM. Before it gets too busy.
This mild spell will make it easy going anyway.

Oh, and if anyone is interested it's called the "Russian" join. Super strong and totally undetectable.
Just watched a tutorial by the "Chilly Dog". She does a great video, clear, precise, very understandable. Thanks for the tip!

I especially liked the fibres pulled instead of a blunt cut.

Finished the blanket I started last week and have begun a new one. Different pattern. Different yarn.

Glenn suggested a few days ago that since his first grandchild, granddaughter, will be getting married in June, we might consider giving the couple a handmade blanket as a wedding gift. Well, of course, I jumped at the chance, found a pattern I really liked, ordered some cream-beige tweed yarn and I'm already on my way. The yarn I chose is close in color to the one in the photo but, perhaps, a little warmer and not so whitish.

I'll post a photo of the one I just finished when I get a few minutes, and I have good light. Glenn loves it.

Here's the new, um, victim:

I shoot a lot, so I also spend a lot of time at my reloading bench. Between an hour+ last night and an hour+ tonight, I just wrapped up 1,000 rounds of 9mm ammo, which is only good for about four typical range trips for me, when I only shoot 9mm. I hit the range weekly, on average, but shoot a lot of different cartridges, so realistically, 1,000 rounds of 9mm will last almost 2 months. I'm starting to run low on 9mm bullets and need to order several thousand more again, since I like to maintain a healthy reserve of everything.
