The soup came out nicely, so I took a picture. It's 44 degrees out, so a hot and spicy soup hit the spot.

How wonderful for you and your family 10speed! Grands are the promise the world will go on.

I'm doing Japanese Lemon Chicken tonight. Kleenex recently left a video that sounded really good, so I'm doubling the recipe with a 1lb Dolly breast cut in chunks. On the side will be Jasmine rice with asparagus.
Check it out...

This easy recipe is a real keeper folks. At the very end, I added toasted sesame seeds, and chopped green onions. For those of us who like TJ's Orange Chicken, this is the homemade version in lemon.

tasted great but it was a bit rubbery. I'll have to go back to the drawing board on that one.. also, a pic of the Cantonese Chow mien..

Wonderful pics and great sounding dinners. :yum: I'm just getting over some kind of 'bug' I caught from my grandson and have been out of commission for a couple of days. Yesterday's dinner was chicken soup and dry toast.

Congratulations on the new little granddaughter, Tenspeed! :)

tenspeed, thanks for sharing the wonderful news! Good luck to your expanding family.

We stopped at our favorite diner in SW Connecticut yesterday. Their complete dinners are unbeatable: cup of soup, salad, entree, beverage. All for one low price, and enough to take plenty of leftovers home. Himself wanted beef stroganoff, but they were out. He went ahead and ordered almost the same as I was having: French onion soup, house Greek dressing with the salad, BBQ ribs with potato and corn...and here is where we parted ways. He had a baked potato, I had mashed. All that food for only $13.99 each. We each got half a rack of ribs (7 bones); he had three from his plate, I managed only two. He did finish his veggies - I brought home most of my mashed potatoes and half of the corn. The veggies are now gone, but we have 9 ribs left for dinner down the week!
