I like the block Muenster cheese cut into squares and sitting on original Triscuits.
That reminds me of something my husband (rest his soul) and I used to make as a late night snack back when we first started dating (I met him in 1990). We would spread Triscuits with spaghetti sauce, then place a banana pepper ring on each one, then sprinkle with shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese, then bake them in the oven until the cheese was nice and melty.

I don't know if it was a snack recipe we found or if it was something one of us made up. But they were so good.

I used to do something similar with refrigerated biscuits to make snack pizzas.

English muffins made into mini pizzas are good. My sister and I used to make our own (with supervision) as young children. Lightly toast the muffins, then top with sauce, cheese and water else, and heat in the oven.

I need to make some, using my own sauce and fresh basil from my garden.

Oh, yeah. Toast and butter english muffin. Place a slice of cheese on each half. Place under broiler till cheese is melted, bubbly, and brown.

Yep! I've done that many times too. I've even made pizzas out of flour tortillas.

Yes, I've done that as well. It's soooooo good.

Kroger used to have some really good single-serving size pizza crusts under their Simple Truth brand. They don't seem to have them anymore. Those were great for mini pizzas.

Smucker's ... meh. too much sugar for me. I grew up with Peanut Butter and Jam, either strawberry or raspberry. A lot of people had it with jelly, but at the time jelly was only Concord Grape jelly, more expensive and sooo good!
Raspberries, blackeberries are a no no for me. Cooked yes, fresh no.
Dad loved marmelade, me not so much, it's OK.
I love Robertson's (English) Apricot or Ginger - to die for! right along with that is St. Dalfour (France) Black Current, Blueberry.
Strawberry Freezer Jam, yummm, tastes like they just came in from the garden fresh.
I have a book with Small Batch recipes. Used to make them and sell tiny jars, always kept one for me and that way I alsways had a huge variety to choose from.
My mom was a British War bride and brought the culture with her.
Home made Marmalade so good I can't eat any others. So good she gave it as gifts to everyone we knew.
Low sugar, blasting with flavor. Moms shortbread as well.

After WWII (that's world war 2 not WW eleven) my family lived at 3rd and Highland in Hollywood with lots of British war families in the neighborhood. If you drive around and see wild Mint growing, they planted it for mint sauce.

Mom taught all the girls in the neighborhood to knit. All the kids went to Zuma beach in the summer school holiday and their descendants still do.

Today, on a nice day if you look along the wall at Food Stand #3, you'll might see the descendants daughters still knitting, sitting and sunning on beach blankets and playing the card game Hearts,,, almost 80 years since.
