Those don't look like store bought hard corn tortillas. Did you fry them at home?

They're store bought soft corn tortillas.
I fried them on the griddle like this.

Only the slightly larger size only let me make five. This was a different brand than I usually get. Slightly thicker, too.

One of these days I'll try making my own. I've got the press. (which I've used for dough in my Dash mini pie maker)

That is what I was thinking you did, but in a fryer, not on a grill. Either way works. Store bought hard "taco shells" fall apart on the first bite. I'm guessing yours stayed together, and had a bit of chew to them. That's what a Mexican hard tacos are like... both crunch and chew, and they don't break into a taco salad with the first bite.

That's exactly what they did. Good call.
I love the texture. Much better than a warmed up flour tort.

But I do love hard tacos, too. Gotta be El Paso shells though. They are a lighter shell than Ortega.
Hard taco shells aren't as forgiving as soft. Baking is better than nuking and you need to find the sweet spot right before they start closing up.

Had one of the alla Genovaise frozen meals. Cooked the last of the rigatoni pkg. which was too much. Think there might be a pasta salad in the future. :whistling
Have you ever fried cooked pasta as a side dish? I love it. I often add some sesame seeds and maybe some parm or other cheese at the end. Honestly, I don't usually do that as a side dish. I usually do it as snack.
