What should I serve w/a high-end beef stew?

Yes, me 2! I was thinking high end and beef stew didn't really belong in the same sentence. But I've been wrong before, twice actually!:ROFLMAO:
 
Maybe yorkshire pudding? You could use some of the stock from your stew to bake them.
 
My beef stew has so much stuff in it...potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, celery, mushrooms, green beans, peas and diced tomatoes...that I just serve a good bread or biscuits to sop up the gravy.

I know this makes me sound like a tasteless plebian, but I don't like red wine much, and never cook with it. I get an excellent taste and color going when I sear my meat...gotta get it smoking...and don't really need much except a small can of tomato sauce and some good seasoning to get a tasty gravy going.
 
i like chefjune's idea of macaroni or maybe egg noodles.

getting creative, i'm thinking maybe a wild mushroom risotto, or possible a bean and mushroom casserole.
