Watched BAD COMPANY a 2002 film with Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock. Thoroughly enjoy. Spy, thriller, comedy!

I find that Chris Rock can be too loud for my tastes, yes, funny but hard to take. But he was NOT in this film - was great and I chuckled all the way thru it.
Yeah, there were fight scenes and car chases, but not so long that you prayed for the ending.

Last night we watched Borderlands. I've been really wanting to see it, we missed it in the theatre.

Even Cate could not save this one. Oh it stunk, and I am not a high bar when it comes to escapism movies.

We also watched, One Life, with Anthony Hopkins. Based on a true story, about 1 man and more than 600 children rescued from Czechoslovakia in the months prior to WWII. Wow! What a story. What a great movie. And the usual great performances one comes to expect from an Anthony Hopkins movie!! Worth the time to watch. I think we watched that one on Netflix too...

I have a friend I get together online with once a week and we have a teleparty to stream series and movies. She leans toward sci-fi, as do I. We just started watching two series: Dune Prophecy and Silo Season 2. We're only a couple of episodes in. Both have started off a little slow but look promising.

Someone recently sent me a short video about an elderly man who was being honoured for rescuing children during the war.
I don't think he realized at the beginning it was him they were referring to.
Then all of a sudden they asked if any of the children who had been rescued by him were in the audience and a huge section around him stood up. Was quite moving.

Ooops...spoiler alert!!!

Last night watched a good movie "Widow Clicquot" who became known as the "Grande Dame of Champagne". She revolutionized many techniques in the making of Champagne.

"On the Basis of Sex" from 2018, Netflix - A trailblazing young Ruth Bader Ginsburg takes up a case of sex-based discrimination in an attempt to shatter the status quo.
for non-Americans who might wonder who she is.
an American lawyer and jurist who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1993 until her death in 2020.
Highly recommend! Although a story about the law could be very dull - this was not. The real Ruth B. Ginsburg is shown at the end of the movie.

The next movie I saw for free was the 2023 movie Quiz Lady.

This is the movie about a lady that goes on a game show to get enough money back to win her dog back. I found it funny and a nice watch.
