Here's what my basic backyard American hamburger looks like:

1) Light charcoal

That looks fantastic!! YUMMY!!

Only thing is I like a nice Kaiser roll instead of a bun.

I almost bought one of those cast iron hibachi grills.

Looks and sounds good! I would like to check into one of those hibachis!!!

I really like this grill. Another nice little grill is the Weber Smokey Joe kettle which I enjoy using as well. The Smokey Joe is great little grill for about 1/3 the price of the Lodge. :)

And lighter. If I remember right there have been property rights arguments over my Smokey Joe...it still resides in Laramie, WY...:ROFLMAO:

I started with some chuck roast and used Lucille to grind it with the coarser of the two plates.

The plan had been to grill these on the boat, but circumstances dictated they get done at home. Oh well, charcoal instead of a propane grill, how do I survive this? :)

These were done with a little kosher salt and ground pepper (McCormick's pepper medley).

There were none left over.

Me, being the circumstances - I have to say the burgers were fabulous!
