Hello. I remember when I used to make a sandwich using lettuce, I would wash it first. Then it went on the bread. However the remaining moisture on its surface would make the bread soggy. Just wondering how you guys deal with this. Is it necessary to wipe the lettuce leaves off or pat them dry first?

That's what I do. I pat the lettuce dry with some paper towels. Soggy bread is a turn off.

I dry off all my greens and other produce with kitchen towels. I have a stack of waffle towels that are nap-free and don't leave any fuzz on the food.

A salad sinner works too. Also, place juicy veggies, and ingredients onto the bread between the dry ingredients, and condiments. Mayo, salad dressing, and mustard don't make bread soggy, and create a barrier to water, especially the mayo, or salad dressing. Butter helps also.

Dry the lettuce with kitchen towel or a paper napkin.
However, butter the bread on both sides before you put anything on it. That will help to avoid wet, soggy bread.
