Which is easier—deciding what to order from a restaurant or figuring out what to make at home?

Me and my husband do date night every week, and I order the exact same thing each time. 😂

Compare that with my 50 different spice mixes I have at home for everything from South Indian, Persian, African, and Chinese, French, to Mexican. I have basically at least dozens of potential dishes and techniques to choose from. 🤓

That will depend on the resto and on my mood.

TBS, I rarely go out to eat, choosing is more difficult in a restaurant as you can't change your mind once you place your order. Especially, to the poor waiter chewing his knuckles in frustration, as it took over a half hour to decide.
At home, you have all day to decide, if you suddenly don't want to make the dish you planned there's always soup and a sandwich.

Like others, it depends on my mood. A few years back, I started to plan meals a bit more by "shopping my pantry and fridge first. Then I would decide what I was going to cook and make a list for the market. It's only when I do not plan that I struggle.
