World Pasta Day Dinner - 10/25/2018
https://www.foodnewsfeed.com/content...orld-pasta-day
I'm in on this one! We're having some friends over for dinner tonight, and I'll be making ATK's Pasta with Sausage Ragu that I made a couple of weeks ago. I'll make some fresh pappardelle in the Philips pasta machine, and also a green salad. Fresh pasta is so, so good. Italian wine as an accompaniment, of course.

Thanks for the link, tenspeed. Not for the pasta story, but the top story link in the left sidebar was about Cleveland! Looks like something new to try and see when we're back home seeing the kids at the holidays.
Pasta wasn't in my plan today, although Himself is like Rock's GF and could eat it daily. Too bad, it still isn't. I have a little sore spot starting up in the corner of my throat. I think a nice, steaming bowl of Quick Chicken and Barley Stew is just what Doctor CG ordered. Himself will be happy with the take-and-bake baguette we got at Aldi yesterday.

Pork ribs sandwiched between layers of scalloped potatoes and baked. Side of Brussel sprouts with pancetta cubes.

Meatloaf, baked potato, and corn for the him, and baked potato, corn, and no-meat stroganoff for me. Snacks later, veggie tray and chips and guacamole.

I have two large bone in brined pork chops that I'll be browning and finished in the oven with some gussied up mushroom soup with white wine adding a load of elderly mushrooms that need to be used. I'll boil up some store bought pasta to go with the gravy.
Roasted asparagus will be on the side.

I have a couple of twice-baked potatoes in the toaster oven and diced apples simmering away in apple cider, butter and Penzeys Pie Spice. Just about to pan-sear bone-in pork chops that have been hanging out with Penzeys Ozark Seasoning. Should be good.
