Hi Everyone, I'm an at home dad and have been doing most of the cooking for my family for many years but its just in the last 3 or 4 years that I have discovered a passion for cooking. It's probably not a coincidence that this started right after we remodeled our home and added a big new kitchen :-) I make all kinds of meals, love to experiment, often use recipes as only guidelines, and like many of you, like to create my own dishes with what I have in hand. Strangely it never occurred to me to explore forums about cooking before, even though I participate in forums in other areas that interest me.

All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt

Welcome to DC. :)
Just because something has a duck bill doesn't mean it's a platypus. It might just be a duck.
