Wusthof chef knife purchase?
Hello,

I purchased a wusthof 8" cook's knife classic brand new from a 99.9% ratings ebay top rated seller yesterday. This person sells alot of wusthof knives but no where in the listings or his ebay page does he/she mention they are a wusthof reseller or anything. I'm wondering if by me purchasing this blade from ebay will i loose out on the warranty?

Dillbert is on a distinguished road

>>lose thee warrant

I doubt it. a handle on one of my Wuesthof's cracked after 20+ years - one email, sent it off, got a new one back.

no questions/quibbles about receipts, where I bough it, etc. - a simple "Please send it to [service center in NJ]" and 2-3 days later the new one arrived.

Dillbert is probably right on this one. It's generally been their policy to cover any knife, no matter what. I have several friends who've had their Wusthofs replaced under warranty and none has ever had to provide a receipt of purchase.
