Ha! I have all of you fooled. I tease my kids mercilessly. While visiting two of my children, and my beautiful grandaughters, we went to a Cabella's store. I picked up some fishing fly-tying items that have funny names, dumbell eyes, and coneheads. I held them up and said; "I bought these purposely to remind me of you two". I held up the dumbell eyes and said to my son; "The dumbells remind me of you." I turned turned to my daughter and stated; "the coneheads will remind me of you." She gave me a cold look and said, "Niiiiice, Dad." Got double duty out of those items. I get to tie flies, and tease my kids.
They needed humbling. They'd been hearing how proud I was of them, and that they have the most beautiful little girls on the planet (and they do). I couldn't leave them without teasing, just a little.
Me, nice, bah, humbug! :-)
Now you, on the other hand, Well, Constance, you are a class act.
Heck of a lot better than angina though! Glad things are going well. I was thinking of you and your hospital issues. I really really sympathize. Its just not comfy at all.
Oh Constance, I've only just seen your message, about the cooking site...I'm so sorry I didn't reply, my head is somewhere else, & still trying to learn things here, so thank you ( you must have thought ...how rude!) x
Connie, thanks so much for the karma. Yes, this has not been an easy experience, but in some ways after 14 years it is nice to feel close to her again. My mom is the one I credit for both my love of cooking and my ability. And thank you once again for what you are doing for Katie.
Thanks for the "cool family" comment. Of course, you haven't actually MET any of them. ;-) And I didn't mention the hillbilly side, with one great-nephew in jail, a great-niece who just came out of the closet, a nephew who is a wicken and in what he calls a poly-amorous marriage, etc. etc.
Anyway, if you get to know people, most are pretty interesting, one way or another, and most have some pretty interesting characters in their family tree.
