Has any 1 tried waxing rutabeggies to keep them from rotting, if so please let me know or if there is some other method that works better. If you have any suggestions you can send them to me via email. Thanks.

usually that's how they are found in the markets here in the mid atlantic USA. kept in a cool dark place they should last half a season. If you are asking what wax to use...??cooks paraphim.
 
Hi Herman, welcome to DC.

No need to wax. Store them in a cool dry place such as a cellar. Earlier generations stored the Fall harvest in a root cellar to last the Winter.
