Senior Male now cooking...

HI
Just joined tonight. I am a senior Citizen, retired Air Force, having to cook since wife losing mind to alzheimers. She lost my camera today.. Anyway... hoping to pick up some tips for easy meals low in fat... :yum:

Welcome to DC. I am sure your camera will show up sooner or later. I attend Day Care once a month. Most of the patients have Alzheimner's also. I get to see it first hand. We also have a married couple, both of them with this hideous disease.

DC has a lot to offer. Just ask and there is always someone with an answer for you.

Do you have Trader Joe's markets? They have plenty of delicious microwave meals that are unfortunately too big for singles like me, but just the perfect size for couples, particularly senior couples who probably want less food than active, young adults.

Welcome to DC, I just happen to work with Seniors and those with Alzheimer's. Holler on PM for a chat anytime you're losing your patience.

hello hc, and welcome to the foodie forum.:) so sorry about your wife's illness. my mom had alzheimers. nothing better than a delicious smelling soup or stew simmering stovetop in the wintertime. tasty and healthy good eating. a rewarding kind of cooking for one who is learning. soups and stews are easy to reheat, store well, and make great anytime mini-meals.
is photography a hobby fo you hc?
