I am thinking of buying this one but would like opinions of folks who know more than I do. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...0DEQVS7G&linkCode=as2&tag=bestprodtag50344-20

I just bought their best buy at Macy's - $83 through tomorrow. I had an issue with the first meal I cooked with the Fagor, but afterwards realized it was operator error. I didn't have the lid on all the way. If it's just a tiny bit short, it won't lock. I didn't realize that the latch didn't go in all the way. I'll know better next time.
I have a gas stove, which makes the stovetop PC more appealing (instant on / off).
Macy's has the Fagor 6 qt. Duo (the size Beth Hensperger recommends) for $75 through tomorrow. It's the best price I've seen.
Hi! I was just searching for the thread where I talked about it. I just bought a new cookbook for it. It's working great so far - except I wasn't impressed with the risotto. But other things have come out well. I especially like the pressure cooker recipes from Serious Eats.

Thanks for the link. I put it on my wish list. Can you also brown?
That's for the old style jiggler valve (the one that's as old as I am). My Fagor has a quick release valve.I've read that to quickly release pressure with a stove-top model, you have to run it under cold water. I'm really not into that
