A-Walker

Hi everyone, I'm Alex, definitely a foodie, mostly a cooker, occasionally a drinker; yup, I try to cover all grounds. When I'm not in the kitchen, or in restaurants, I'm the editor of Flaskaholic, a chilled spot on the web for the best of hip flasks and musings about alcohol. We "use" flasks as an excuse to explore the greater questions of life.... actually, that's not true. We love cool flasks and we never run out of things to say about them. We are into the connection between a man and his liquor, and we find it cute that folks insist on carrying booze on them. Yes, it's cute - it's almost childlike.

As for cooking, I'm all about cooking without recipes. I personally find recipes constraining, and I like feeling free in the kitchen. These days I bake less and cook more but I do use my oven a lot as a substitute for an oily frying pan.

That's pretty much it. And of course I mix my two great loves by sipping from one of my many flasks while I'm cooking.
