ISO Ideas for a Williams-Sonoma Monkey Bread Baking Dish

Actually the recipe is on the package. As with most Williams-Sonoma merch. the recipe is printed on the inside of the band that goes around the pan... at least this is how it was on mine... or maybe that was just the directions on how to use the mix? I can't recall. I found several good recipes...

    Mango Chili

No problem. I think it turned out really well, and everyone that tried it seemed to like it.

    Mango Chili

My girlfriend's sister made chili the other night and since I didn't get to try any, I thought I would make some tonight. I went from my mind and just threw stuff in the pot... and here is how it came out: 2lbs. Beef - any way you like - I used some left over tri-tip roast and some fresh stew...

    Shun Ken Onion Knife

I liked the Ken Onion Shun knife for a while, but kind of talked myself out of it... also check out eBay - I found it for just over $100 when I was looking... of course that is probably a knock-off, but I don't know for sure - there were a lot of them on there... I would love a set of Shun...

    Waffler Help!

I gave my dad a regular cuisinart waffle maker a couple of Christmases ago, and though I have never experienced its bounty, he says that it works great. The Waring Pro waffle makers worked like champs at the house-warming party this weekend! I couldn't be happier with how they worked, and now...

What do you look for in a cheese grater?

I have a KA box grater with a rubber "foot" around the base and a detachable container that slips into the base. It is by far my favorite "quantity" and non-fine grater. People say that box graters are flimsy, but the sides on this one are nice thick metal with very sharp blades. I also got a...

    Waffler Help!

This is my understanding, based on experience - just in the last 2 days. With the non-flipper, you pour the batter in and it starts to cook on the bottom before the top gets closed, so the bottom gets more done than the top. Additionally, if you don't put in enough batter, then the waffle...

    Waffler Help!

Further Update: Picked up the Waring Pro Waffle Makers last night and tried one out... Wow, its amazing! I've never had a waffle maker work this well. I let it heat up, spray it with cooking spray, put the batter in, close it, rotate it, wait for about 2 minutes until it beeps 3 times, rotate it...

    Waffler Help!

I read through the reviews on Amazon and they apparently have problems with the handles getting so hot that you need a pot-holder to open them, and a few other things as well. The Waring Pro is the only one - other than the $300 KA - that has primarily positive reviews.

    Waffler Help!

Update: After thinking about it, I realized that I liked the uneven baking of the Villaware that we tried out last night - so now I am going to pick up the Waring Pros tonight - luckily I was able to find them at Sam's Club for only $50! The only difference between Sam's & BB&B's Waring Pro is...

    Waffler Help!

Well, we found a 4th option. We went to look at the Waring Pro - after my GF bought both the Cuisinart and Krups models, and we found another one - a Villaware belgian waffle maker with extra plates for either grilling or griddle. This one was $70, so $10 cheaper than the Waring. We found that...

    Waffler Help!

Hey everyone, My GF runs an event planning business and we are doing a brunch on Sunday. The hostess decided that she wants waffles and so we have to get a waffler. Our choices are the following: Cuisinart - 7" traditional circle - $30 Waring Pro - 7" Belgian circle - $70 Krups - 4-slice...

    Fresh Green Beans help

Great! Thank you. I think I blanched them one time before the rest of the cooking process, and that may be one of the few times that they came out ok... I just tend to forget everytime that I make them.

    New Wolf Oven advice?

I have to say that when I lived with my grandma I used her built-in griddle all the time - mainly for grilled cheese or quesadillas, but still, I loved that I didn't have to dirty a pan all the time. If the Wolf griddle is as nice as Sargentw claims, then I can't possibly see how you could go...

    Asian Burgers
