i started cooking Cajun food not to long ago. i would have to say i like the jambalaya, gumbo and red beans and rice the best. of coarse that is all i have made so far. the kids and i are going crawdadding this weekend, so i am going to try something new.

It seems to only happen when I cook whole meals. I have noticed it in every crock-pot I have ever used. Im sure it isn’t soap or absorbed flavor in the pot itself. I have made enough oven pot roasts to know what I used will taste good. imp thinking that maybe the flavors blend differently than...

i have used the slow cooker for some time now. when ever i cook a stew or pot roast in the crock pot it has a funny taste. i tried the new slow cooker that we just got and it has the same weird taste. if i put the same recipe in the oven at 200 deg all day, it would come out different tasting...

i like to put rub on the bird then smoke it for 4 hours, cover with tin foil then finnish baking it in the oven. i take the foil off in the last 20 or so minutes as well as a butter bath to get a nice brown. i dont stuff the bird when i do it this way. i didnt see that the bird was already...
