    Are tomatoes toxic to dogs?

    While I am unsure if tomatoes are toxic to dogs, they do contain more acid than would be considered good for their digestion. Our dogs love tomatoes, but I limit them to two small pieces, twice per week.

    You could try sparkling grape juice, or non-alconolic wine. Grape juice is generally much sweeter than wine, as the sugars have not fermented.     Need Ham ideas!

    I use maple syrup, clover honey, brown sugar, and brown mustard for a ham glaze. Unfortunately I just dump in the ingredients until they look and taste good, so I don't have exact proportions, and Christmas dinner is probably not something to be conducting experiments with.

    Sucralose (Splenda brand) is supposedly derived from sugar, although I have not seen a molecular comparison of the two. Kind of like Elmer's Glue and non-fat dry milk...(one is a byproduct of the other)

    Red wine and Cardiac health

    Wine has been tentatively found to help with heart problems. The same has been found for people worried about stroke. Eating a serving of fish every two weeks or so seems to help immensely. Even if it doesn't, it certainly doesn't hurt anything to consume a glass of wine with an entree of fish.
