    Today's harvest

We're getting steady zucchini and cucumbers now, plus purple beans, lettuce, kale. There are tons of tomatoes on the vines, but nothing ripe yet. I suspect they will all ripen up while we are away camping next week. My hot peppers are now all taking off a lot. I've harvested a dozen or so...

What are your 2020 garden plans?

That does sound like a good method, but we do it much more simple and never have issues. We turn over the soil in our raised beds a few days before planting, then poke holes a couple cm deep, drop a seed in, and repeat 3-5cm away. We do several rows that way, then cover and water every other...

What are your 2020 garden plans?

We have one red currant, and one black currant bush side by side, they are probably 5-6 years old now, and quite large. We've never gotten more then 4-5 currants off either bush. I'm not sure if it's a pollination issue, soil, water, or something else. They look nice and healthy, they just...

What are your 2020 garden plans?

We should be picking our first zucchini in a couple days, and starting to get raspberries and strawberries now. Tomatoes and cucumbers have lots of fruit on the vines, will probably still be another week or two though before we start harvesting. We've been eating lots of lettuce.

Looking good. I'd go nuts if we had a HOA here. Glad you have been able to avoid their wrath.

Hops are still going crazy, cabbage is going well too now. Going to harvest all the hundreds of dill plants soon and freeze them, they are in half the beds, just came up from blown seeds from last year (only had them in 1 bed last year). the potatoes we gave up on and cancelled the order, got...

What are your 2020 garden plans?

Garden is now coming along pretty well. only issue is the various potatoes we ordered online in late April haven't arrived yet, so still have an empty bed (top right) waiting for those.might just give up and plant whatever generic stuff we can pickup at home depot, and use those special ones as...

What are your 2020 garden plans?

I had to replant about half the garden, my covering up worked until the last night, but the last one was -3 and all the tomatoes, zucchini, and squash died, plus most of the peppers. I had spares for a bunch, but had to go buy some more plants too. I'm most annoyed about the super-hot peppers...

It's border line here for Frost too. This morning there actually was a tiny bit on the cars and roof, but plants seem ok. Tonight I think I'll cover the tomatoes and some other plants, they are still small enough for that.

What are your 2020 garden plans?

We've got most of the garden planted now, mostly the tomatoes, potatoes, and hot peppers left to go in. We moved a few things around, due to availability and changes in what we wanted.

What are your 2020 garden plans?

A cousin donated some polycarbonate panels from their greenhouse, so I built a permanent one. Just cost me $30 in lumber and $30 for the corrugated roof. Tomorrow I will close up those top sections in the roof, with vents that will open automatically. I built it over one of the windows into our...

Built my temporary greenhouse again for this year. Has a heater and some LED lights as well. Temp should stay between 10 and 20 C.

    Today's harvest

We harvested some of last years overwintered kale today too and had some kale chips with dinner. We also have some new kale seedlings going, will get moved outside in another 2 weeks or so.

What are your 2020 garden plans?

I cut pretty much all my peppers in half before drying them. I have them in a dehydrator on a low heat setting so it takes 24 or more hours.

What are your 2020 garden plans?

We decided to rip out a row of Riesling grapes that always got diseased every year, never producing enough to use. I tried different sprays, different schedules, but couldn't keep them healthy. All our muscat vines have been fine though. So yesterday I cut down most of those Riesling, and am...
