    Whole Chicken for Beginners

    if you are just picking the meat off I suggest you boil the chicken with seasonings. that way you get stock plus the chicken meat. Oven roasting bags are awesome and keeps chicken tender, and that hard to do.

    Vac seals are great but always pat dry or the excess water will form ice crystals and make them get frostbite faster.

    Good replacement for buttermilk

    This used to be a staple in my house but since Ive been on a diet and stopped cooking with it, its disappeared from our fridge. I know yogurt can replace it but I am out of that too! Would souring the milk with a little vinegar or lemon juice work as well? I need it for cornbread.
