What have you had for breakfast lately?

Okay, I'm off to bed. Dragn and Taxy - I will expect you both for dinner tomorrow - shall we say 7.30pm?

What have you had for breakfast lately?

That's okay, bring some with you then! (I think that would get through customs as long as it's not millions of gallons or something.)

Can eat pickled garlic after expiry time?

I am a "low risk" sort of person. I would throw it out! (I had food poisoning once - it was not fun and I don't want to go through that again - nothing I cooked by the way!)

    Rotisserie Chicken thoughts?

In all my years, it has never occurred to me to buy a rotisserie chicken. So I checked and a whole, raw, non-frozen, medium sized chicken is around £5. (Which is pretty reasonable.) And a cooked whole chicken is £5.75. Wow. For sheer convenience, a 75p markup is pretty good! (I would...

What's to eat for Wednesday? (1st May)

Nice, simple ingredients. All you need for a good sausage.

There is a new type called "Premium Cattle" now Taxy. Extra leg room.

What have you had for breakfast lately?

Yeah, don't bring the crusty steak and lobster with you Dragn! Might have some issues at customs! :ROFLMAO: Assume I'll cook or we'll eat out! (What sort of wine do you like? I'm a Pinot Grigio/Sauvignon Blanc type of gal.)

Must have been some meat in there? Pork or beef I guess?

Boston, MA - any local intel?

Update: So, having done some research (which I should have done before getting too excited about visiting the US this year), it seems hotel prices have sky-rocketed since my last visit! My friend is in a work situation which means she cannot commit to anything yet. The latest possibility...

What have you had for breakfast lately?

As long as you don't mind my concrete floored kitchen, you're welcome Dragn! (Only a six hour flight I think?) Oh, and yes, cheddar melts quite nicely! :)

    Monday's Munch? (6th May '24)

Given I don't generally eat steak, or lobster... how about Surf'nTurf? (I'll get my coat.)

Thoughts on wood for kitchen countertops?

Oh, it's even worse than that Dragn. One time, in my bare feet, I walked across the floor in the very early morning and stepped on a slug. Makes me feel ill even now, to think about what that felt like underfoot. (That's when I put the fine mesh over the air brick!)

What have you had for breakfast lately?

I grate it. (Which I assume is the same as shredding.)

Can eat pickled garlic after expiry time?

    1. Open the jar 2. Smell it 3. If it smells terrible - throw it away 4. If it doesn't smell of much - take out a piece of garlic and cut it in half. If that smells terrible - throw it away. 5. After that, it is up to you. Are you willing to take a risk and eat the garlic, or are you...

What have you had for breakfast lately?

Well this is mostly what I do Dragn! (I don't add cream, but I beat those eggs to within an inch of their lives!) I add my standard strong (sharp) cheddar and fold over. But I find the cheese turns into a sort of lump. Perhaps I am adding too much?
