I am a former short order breakfast cook, assistant cook, baker and front of the house "all-rounder" with 20+ years in food and beverage. Currently, I work for a fabulous catering company and run an online business. My husband and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and I absolutely love to cook and bake. With almost no formal training, I have had to learn quick over the years to keep up with promotions. The end result of my experience is that I am a "practical" purist when it comes to food and I am not easily wowed. I prefer food that is uncomplicated and uses fresh local ingredients over food with foam and pretense.
