    How to adjust consistency of homemade chili?

    As the other say I add tomato puree to thicken it up, I also try and cook my cilli the day before I am going to eat it. When I reheat it the chilli allways tastes better and is thicker than the night before.

    yes I allways try to boil my vegetables. They defintely taste better and you do not loose the vitamins.

    What is your weather like right now?

    Its been nice and sunny here today, I live right on the coast so i enjoyed a walk along the beach. its getting colder in the evening though.

    Corned beef

    I have used canned corned beef in sandwiches with english mustard and it tastes ok, but not as good as the fresh stuff. My dad also loves corned beef hash and swears by the tinned stuff - I take what he says with a pinch of salt as i swear he has no taste buds!

    Eye of round beef roast, boneless

    Thanks I have been looking for something to do with my left over beef after I cook my sunday roast, I think this could be a tasty way to use up the meat we don't manage on the sunday.

    yes I love grilling asparagus as well, then drizzle with balsamic vinegar and top with some parmesan shavings, very tasty.

    How do you eat your crab?

    I'm lucky enough to live by the Sea so we often eat fresh crab and for me by far the best way is to simply boil it and then eat with nice fresh salad leaves and home cooked granary bread spread with real butter. :smile:

    Hey I recently bought a peper dispenser that works in a similar way. My mother had a stroke a couple of years ago and she loves ground black pepper but could not grind it herself, this gadget is battery operated and grinds the pepper when you press the button. Not sure if a sugar dispenser...

    Making chocolate pasta tonight.

    this sounds like a marvelous idea and certainly different. I have prepared chilli and sundried tomato pasta before but never heard of anything like this. If I do give it a try i will let you know how I get on.
