Thought this pic might interest. I made a makeshift double-decker for my crockpot, by cutting out 1/2 the bottom of a 9" aluminum pan, albeit the cutout is a bit less than 1/2 to allow leeway to fold up part of it to contain food. That way I could insert meat & beans above, and still use ladle...
