    Bosch mixer

Corey123, he was referring to trashing his BOSCH mixer. The Braun, apparently, is kaput.

Bumps or blisters in new crock pot

OK, I'll do a "little" advertising for KitchenAid here. We WILL be coming out with a premium "Slow Cooker" in the next few months. Stay tuned.

    Kitchen Aid Ravioli Attachment

The ravioli attachment for the mixer is also a hand crank version. It takes some getting used to (the dough needs to be dryer than you think it should be). It is quite handy having the attachment elevated up above the counter enough to let the ravioli sheets feed out.

What Kind of Stand Mixer is in Your Kitchen?

Just an FYI, but KitchenAid does NOT pay celebrity chefs for endorsements, and probably more germaine to this thread, we don't buy much, if any, advertising time on Food Network.

What Kind of Stand Mixer is in Your Kitchen?

And Corey, you know I just can't resist, but the quality of our newer bowl lift models IS getting better and better....

    Kitchen aid mixers

I don't know if the clearances are the SAME, but yes, the philosophy would be. There is much more clearance than a dime thickness on all KitchenAid models for the dough hook.

    Kitchen aid mixers

Dough hook clearance.. The reason there is more space between the bottom (and sides) of the bowl and dough hook is to give sufficient room for the doughs to be "kneaded" and not literally pinched flat. There is no benefit to flattening the dough that much (when you knead by hand, you don't...

    Viking mixer review Revised

Corey123, no problem here. No denying I am biased, and no question that the new metal cover will improve the product.

    Viking mixer review Revised

Corey123, look, I am not challenging the detailed facts here, but rather the overall CHARACTERIZATION that we have made "so many unhappy customers". The overwhelming data we have just does not support that statement.

    Viking mixer review Revised

Corey123, I have to step in and comment here. Over 99 percent of our customers who have purchased the Pro 6/Pro 600 have experienced NO issues with our transmission. It is a thermoset plastic, and is very rigid under almost all conditions our customers put it under. And yes, we have return...

What Kind of Stand Mixer is in Your Kitchen?

Ishbel, that's great you have gotten such good use out of your Kenwood. They make a fine machine. There are hundreds of thousands of KitchenAid owners who ALSO use theirs every day, for decades, with no problems. But this is what makes it so difficult to determine the performance "requirements"...

What Kind of Stand Mixer is in Your Kitchen?

Corey123, Actually, we HAVEN'T been flooded with calls from customers who have broken their tranmissions. There just aren't that many people out there who exceed the design limits of out current design. For those few that do, this improvement will help them quite a bit, up to twice the...

    Kitchen aid mixers

KitchenAid quality I'll add to this discussion. I work for KitchenAid, and I can attest that we have not "chosen" to cheapen our product. In the past 3 years that I have managed this product line as the Marketing Manager, I have ADDED cost and improved quality to every mixer in our line. I'll...

What Kind of Stand Mixer is in Your Kitchen?

KitchenAid Pro 600 Gear Quality Corey123, I have it on very good authority (I should know, I work at KitchenAid) that in early 2006, the Pro 600 mixer will be made with an improved metal transmission cover. For 98 percent of our customers, this will have no effect whatsoever. But, for those...
